Well, in the case of Carol Barker, who enrolled in SFU in 1980, a career in Psychology has been the outcome. Barker, who is a classical flutist originally from Ontario earned her Music Therapy diploma here and is now a graduate student at SFU. In her undergraduate work she wrote an honours thesis on anorexia nervosa and she is now researching that subject using electrogastrography (EGG) with the aid of a Medical Research Council of Canada grant. After obtaining her doctorate Barker intends to work as a clinical psychologist.
