It’s The Mousetrap gatha Christie’s The Mousetrap will be the very first production to be held in the new 350-performance theatre at Capilano College’s North Vancouver campus. Catch a preview of this performance by College theatre students on Thursday, February 13 at 8 p.m. The play opens Valentine’s Day and runs at 8 p.m. on February 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22. There will be Saturday matinees at 2 p.m. on February 15 and 22. The Mousetrap is murder and mayhem as only Agatha Christie can write. “It’s also the longest running show in the English language,” says the play’s director Dawn Moore. “It has a terrific plot and is filled with intriguing characters.” Don’t be disappointed. On the Theatre Front Des Price, an instructor in the Theatre and Performing Arts department, has been appointed interim manager/ technical director of the new Capilano College Theatre. Construction of the theatre box office is expected to begin soon. The community phase of the direct mail fundraising campaign for the theatre will take place in February. Already, $160,000 has been raised towards the total goal of $400,000. Theatre architects, Henriquez- Partners Architects, have just confirmed that their gift to the theatre campaign will be the design and construction of the donor wall.
