Minister Chan delivered the keynote speech in downtown Vancouver last December to an audience comprised of ASEAN diplomats, business executives and senior government officials. Capilano College’s CANASEAN program provides a forum for Canadians and Asians to meet and share opportunities and experiences. It forges commercial links and personal relationships between business people in Canada and ASEAN (association of southeast Asian nations, plus China and Vietnam) in a mutually beneficial two-way learning process. In addition to learning about business opportunities, participants also learn about each other’s business etiquette, culture and customs. For more information about the program, including corporate participation, contact Ed Wong at 984-1706. O Grizzlies on Campus s many of you know by now, the Vancouver Grizzlies professional basketball team will be playing their first ever rookie free agent camp intersquad game in the Sportsplex on Tuesday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. This will be a wonderful opportunity to see those stars who will be performing at GM Place, without having to pay the high ticket prices. The cost for admission to the game is very reasonable and the proceeds of this game will go toward supporting our women’s and men’s basketball program. General admission $10 Season ticket holders $8 General admission tickets will be available for sale at the Sportsplex front desk beginning June 27. We estimate that tickets will be sold out within the first week of sales. I will reserve 150 tickets from June 27 to June 30 for the College community. After this, these tickets will be available to the general public.
