Club Optima: Come see what our Lower Mainland high
school students can do in a pinch. Theatre students will
perform a five-minute scene of their choice from
contemporary theatre.(10 - 12 noon in R105) Music
students will match notes in two different categories:
Jazz/Pop vocal or instrumental combos will be in the
Northeast Caf from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, and Classical
instrumentalists or soloists will perform in H113

from 10:30 a.m. - noon.

The Writing Clinic I with Reid Gilbert, 1 - 4 p.m. in
J105. A basic refresher course. Next session March 23.

TUESDAY, MARCH 21

In the barrios of Santiago, Chile women give voice to
their grief and anger by stitching together small pieces
of fabric. The Arpilleros will be on display (and 100 of
them are for sale at $30 each) in the Women’s Centre for
ten days beginning March 21. An opening ceremony at
12:45 March 21 features Donna Clarke, representative
from Voice of Women, the Saltspring Island group which
has raised $60,000 over the past three years for the
Chilean women.

Payless wants your car. Keep it between the lines
and out of restricted areas, and the towing company
can’t have it. But, if you slip up and lose your wheels,
call Payless Towing at 988-4176. Ask them to have
someone open the storage compound at 3rd and Lloyd, or
pick you up outside the North Caf. (They will do this ifa
truck is available.) The damage will be $30 for the first
day and $5 each additional day. Cheques are not
accepted but cash, VISA and MasterCard are.

Do you Belong to the Vancouver Rowing Club?
The Graphic Design and Illustration Alumni are
planning their Annual Dance in March. They have
booked the Vancouver Rowing Club in Stanley Park
and, when booking, were advised they could save $200 if
they knew someone in the Club. Would anyone out
there like to help save the Alumni money? If so, contact
Joyce Fancher (2911) in the Art Department. We might
make it worth your while!

The Sexuality Research Project

UBC Ph.D. candidates are conducting a questionnaire
study of factors related to sexual problems. They are
looking for heterosexual couples between the ages of 20
and 50 who are experiencing any of the following:
desire, arousal, or orgasm problems.

$25 per couple will be paid for participation in the
study. Couples must be married or have been cohabiting
for at least the past 18 months.
