times. As the twenty-first

unfurls its
astonishing
history before our eyes and North America
adjusts
to its new global reality, the development
of understanding
and
tolerance
between
cultures
becomes
more critical than ever.
For eighteen
years,
Coastal
Jazz & Blues
Society
has been
proud to contribute
to Vancouver's
cultural growth by showcasing
a broad range of creative
musicians
from Canada
and around
the world.
It has been
both our privilege
and our pleasure,
through
events
such
as the Vancouver
International
Jazz
Festival, Time Flies, the Burnaby
Blues Festival, and year-round
concert
presentations,
to bring thousands
of performances
by
exciting
jazz,
improv,
blues,
and
world
music
artists
to
Vancouver
to entertain
and enrich our community.
In this spirit
of fostering
a global
sense
of community
in
Vancouver,
Coastal
Jazz is proud
