Three of the instructors, Jim Boyd, Tynka Braaksma and John Hatchard, along with several other people are on a reconnaissance trip in the Yukon, paddling one thousand miles in canoes. They've been gone since the end of June and aren't expected back until Sept-. ember. The canoers are looking around to plan an expedition for Rec. 360 next summ~ er--Outdoor Rec.'s only third year course which is an expedition course. 360, by the way, is Inthe Mt. Edziza area this summer--just let them wait until next! | C= (Le Things are happening up in’ Retail Fashion as they gear up for September. There are 2 new instructors this year -- Robin Wilson and Libby Yorsh. Robin is from Scott Paper and will be teaching Fashion Marketing, while Libby works for Eatons and will be instructing Professional Development. TO Connie Gibbs is happy with the way her Financial Aid Money Management workshops have been going. Attendance has been good and the reactions have been very positive, she reports. No, indeed, the theatre stu- dents have been working on a Youth Employ- ment project presenting (what else) plays. Bill Murdoch informs us, somewhat cryptic- ally, on his tip sheet that the Cap Summer players will be presenting ''The History of Maple Fudge!'' in the South Campus courtyard on August 28 and 29 from 1 - 5 p.m. This worries me. Four hours? {Is this true or a case of illegible handwriting? At any rate it should be worth looking into.
