Putting in Direct In Dial numbers to most departments was an attempt to cut down on the load on the switchboard and allow callers to get through faster. Unfortunately, among those who won't use the new numbers Cap College people are just about the worst offenders—we always call 986-1911 because we’ve got that number memorized. Hence, there has been printed up a handy little directory of Frequently Called Direct In Dial Numbers that will be distributed to all College employees so that you can carry it around with you or take it home. Lynne Hamilton gets credit for this intelligent idea, Jessie McCready and Pauline Clark on the Switchboard came up with the list, and Linda Givens did the printing. Extra copies will be available through the Public Relations department.
