M building is mourning the untimely loss of
their refrigerator, mown down in middle age
during the week of December 11, 1987. The
dearly departed appliance is sorely missed
and, without meaning to seem precipitous or
heartless, the grieving group are very
anxious to get a replacement right away.
They ask that instead of sending flowers,
would you send them another fridge? The
Friends of Freon are looking for a 5' high not
very large model (icemaker not required)
that some kind soul, touched by their plight,
would be willing to donate or sell at a
reasonable price—call Jeri Krogseth at
2542. Memorial services T.B.A., no cold
drinks or ice cream to be served.

Another Christmas tree tip

Eve Whittaker, English instructor, phoned to tell us
that she has come across a great method of
fireproofing your Christmas tree. Put epsom salts in
the water that your tree is sitting in and leave it for
24 hours. Then test the tree by taking a needle or
twig and trying to burn it. Eve guarantees that this
works (although not permanently—it wears off after
a week or two), but neither she nor the otherwise
brilliant and ingenious staff of the Public Relations
department can tell you why. Anybody else?

COLOPHON

However sporadically the Informer may appear
in your mail, it is valiantly attempting to come out
at least every two weeks during the Fall and
Spring terms. This scurrilous sheet is produced
by the Public Relations Department, room A118,
local 2903 or 2002, and submissions are
greeted with joy and delight. Photos are
generally taken by Edna Sakata in MPC and
prepared for publication by Dave Sharrock.
Printing is done by Linda Givens and Dave
Callow in the Print Shop and distribution is
handled by the denizens of the mail room/typing
pool. There is a rumour that Donna McMahon is
the perpetrator of all this, but she'll deny it
vehemently.
