Presentation of a plaque by the college to
West Vancouver Secondary went off smoothly
on Thursday afternoon with Paul Gallagher

giving a brief and informal speech to the
group of original organizers, Board mem-
bers etc. In attendance. Afterwards about

thirty people retired to the W. Van Staff
lunchroom for a wine and cheese reception.

Pat Pope is.off July 1 for a
tour of Mainland China. Before she gets to

China, however, she's stopping off in Hong.

Kong - supposedly to visit, but really to
go over to Macao gambling. Let's hope she
can hang onto enough money for souvenirs!

Tomorrow is the great College’ picnic at
Ambleside, for anyone who could have poss-
ibly forgotten something that important.
The highlight of the picnic,
Kerry Holloway, will be the victory of the
Community Education baseball team over ‘any
other teams that dare to oppose them.

B.7T.S.D. started out strong in the Great

challenge tournament but ended
up losing to the French exchange students
on Wednesday--four games to one. A truly
valiant effort. The students will only be
here for another week, so the rematch had
better take place soon.

Volleyball

Reshuffling of offices is rampant on cam-
pus and the ND building is no exception.
Technical Services is moving in while Pat
Pope and Dawn Hughes’ will be moving next
to A.V. They'll end up watering the plants.

Hildegarde Schmaltz tried to get a cash
refund on her pen, providing more breath-
taking excitement in the Bookstore. They
refused, reports Pat, because she'd used
up all the ink and chewed the end. Other
than that they're most thrilling moment
was the death of the bumblebee who got
caught in the curtains last week. Thanks
