This beautiful weather-
beaten totem pole stands
somewhere on the Queen
Charlotte Islands, and
its photo was taken by
Dr. Keith Wade, who will
be giving a slide show
and lecture about the
Queen Charlottes at 7:45
on Thursday, March 27 at
West Vancouver Secondary.
The lecture is sponsored
by Natural Sciences and
is part of a series
dedicated to raising
funds for scholarships
for outstanding science
students. On April 10
Dr. Malcolm Fitz-Earle
will be giving a talk at
the same time and place
on his impressions of
Japan. Tickets are $3.50
in advance, $4 at the
door and $10 per family.
Tax receipts will be
provided for donations
over $5. More about the

hosting the National
Volleyball championships
at SFU this week, and
coach Joe Iacobellis
would like to see Cap
people out cheering on
our Women's Volleyball
team, who are in the
national finals for the
third time in four years.
