OPEN LETTER
to concerned residents of the North Shore
Education ori the North Shore is being threatened by drastic funding cutbacks that will
result in irreparable damage to our elementary schools, high schools and college.
Education Minister Bill Vander Zalm will be at Capilano College at 1:30 on Tuesday, April
12 to officially open the new multi-purpose building.
The students of the North Shore will be taking this opportunity to address their concerns
directly to the Minister. Interested education groups from the community have been invited
to make presentations.
We strongly urge all residents of the North Shore to use this opportunity to voice their opposition to the shortsighted underfunding of the education system.
The forum will be held on the second floor of the H building at Capilano College. Contact
the students union for more information at 986-1813.
Education is our future. It must be protected.
