there's a familiar voice on the local--
Linda Evans has moved up from the Regis-
trar's desk to Divisional Assistant for
the department. Linda, for fans of bio-
graphical detail, moved out west from On-
tario twelve years ago and to Vancouver
eight years ago to tutor children. with
learning disabilities. ‘When are you going
to move back?'' her mother has been heard
to ask. Trying to work in this hot weather
up in NB (drop by sometime and check out
the temperatures in the portables) Ontario
must seem almost climatically acceptable.
But we don't think she'll leave.

This Tuesday (August 14) if you have a bit
of spare time from 9:00 - 10:45 (call it a
long coffee break) Financial Aid is hold-

ing the first of two workshops on Credit
and Budgeting. The second will be next
Tuesday, same time, and the’ Jocation of

both is NF102. (An early lunch hour, per-
haps?...) Speakers will be from the Credit
Union and Dept. of Consumer Affairs.

The date for the Information Meeting on
Bowen Island has been changed to August 31
from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Bowen Elementary

School. Paul Gallagher and assorted deans
will be there spreading the good word of
Capilano to the natives and advertising

Also enjoying the sweltering heat of NB in
mid summer is Marjorie Dehard, now Divi-
sional Assistant for Business Management.
That department, by the way, is now on the
great move northward and should be well
settled in with all the accompanying misc-
ellaneous office junk by the start of the
term.

Another familiar face in a different loca-
tion is Hazel Soon. After moving up the
hill from Community Ed to the Registration
desk, she's gone way downhill again (no
connotations there, Community Ed) to the
Premier St. office where she's working for
Wanda Tilley and Conchita Furstenwald.
Such courage...

Probe 44 (no, I'm not telling you what it
is this time) will be featuring none other
than Brian White this week, discussing
(can you guess?) Outdoor Recreation. Tune
in at 9 pm Tuesday (the 14th) or 7 pm on
Thursday for the repeat, Cable 10.
