Next Workshop? The next Instructional Skills Workshop will be given May 27-30 (12:30-3:30 Monday, and 9-4
the other three days) with lunch provided. Facilitator: Jessie Pendygrasse. Cost: Free to all Faculty. Enrolment
limited to six. Call Bill Schermbrucker at 2411 to register. Call Jessie Pendygrasse at 2349 with any questions.
Note: This is a workshop you commit to for the whole four days, not a casual or part time one. (Meanwhile, I’m
pleased to report that two more Faculty, Jean Clifford and Frank Harris, will be training as ISW Facilitators.)

Faculty Development Days ’96: May 13-17
Watch for the orange pamphlet coming in a couple of
weeks. Here’s a preview of what we’re planning: A
workshop on Academic Freedom; a 2-day session of
Cooperative Learning beyond the basic level;
Diversity; the Internet; Multimedia (hands-on this
time!) with Liz Hammond Kaaremaa; a panel on
Prior Learning Assessment; Conflict Resolution;
training sessions in Microsoft OFFICE & HTML. In

addition, the FAST FORWARD> > multimedia
showcase will be happening in the Sportsplex on
Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th. Once again, we
have purchased a group registration; if you want to
go, you should let me know, so that we can have
enough clipboards of materials—this does not include
lunch,.I’m afraid. Watch for the Fast Forward leaflet
in your mail box soon but don’t send in a registration
and don’t pay! Fast Forward Catalogues can be
inspected at Film & Video Services in the Library.
