January 3 & 4, 1998 noon-5 pm at EDAM, 303 East 8" Ave. $100/participant Guest teacher CHRIS AIKEN and workshop participants will explore momentum and flow in contact partnering. Falling, flying, reversals, rebounding and changing body density to create movement pathways and leverage points will be explored. The quality of communication between partners will be emphasized. Chris Aiken lives in Minneapolis where he performs with the improvisation ensemble Body Logic. He has worked with many noted improvisers including Nancy Stark Smith, Kirstie Simson, Simone Forti, Andrew Harwood and Peter Bingham. His training includes contact improvisation, compositional improvisation, authentic movement, dance theatre and release techniques. He is currently on faculty at the University of Minnesota, the Center for Arts Education and Zenon Dance School.
