Can a nuclear war be avoided? A great many
-people, including the world's leading sci-
entists, are not optimistic. According to
them, nuclear war is a high probability in
the next ten years. This item of -informa-
tion is not just here to depress you, it's
in regards to a talk being given here on
Wednesday, April 15 at 7:30 pm by North
Vancouver District's well known alderman
Ernie Crist. Crist, who describes himself
as a peace activist, has spoken on the
subject on numerous occasions and will be
discussing these topics: Can nuclear war
be avoided? Arms Race: the military-indus-
trial complex, Limited Nuclear War, Arms
Control and Salt, Fallout Shelters, First
Strike Capability, the Reagan administra-
tion, and Can Democracy Survive? This dis-
cussion is free and will be held in the
All College Lounge.

Community Business Training is a series of
business skills courses specifically de-
signed to provide managerial and organiza-
tional expertise to members of community
