approaches to resolving conflicts in their areas of responsibility and, where
appropriate, to intervene as a mediator. Janet has also added conflict resolution to
the topics on which she will make presentations on request. Other topics include
cross-gender communications, sexual harassment, dating violence and

new Labour Studies Programme
coordinator. She succeeds longtime LSP coordinator Ed Lavalle, who has been
elected president of the College Institute Educators Association (CIEA). Ed will
continue as an active member of the LSP faculty . . . Labour Studies instructor
Sara Diamond, who is currently program director for Media Arts at the Banff
Centre for the Arts, has won the Bell Canada award for excellence in video. As
well, her 1992 video production On to Ottawa has been adopted by the
Saskatchewan School Board as part of their post-secondary curriculum .. .
