Capilano Coll 661m late! I’m late! For a very important date!” said the rabbit as he hurried off in Alice in Wonderland. There was another very important date recently, but it occurred a little closer to home. On Thursday, April 23, Library clerk, Gail Owen, who is also a director on the Capilano College Foundation board, hosted an afternoon Mad Hatter tea party in a Birch building classroom. The event was presented by the Special Projects Committee of the Capilano College Foundation. For a mere $2, tea party guests were treated to a delicious selection of exotic teas, lots of mouth watering home-made goodies, and, of course, a trip through Wonderland. Approximately $220 was raised, which will benefit the College’s Foundation, as well as the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, the Memorial Library Foundation of West Vancouver, and the Gail Owen (above) pours a cuppa for Registration’s Barry Williamson.
