It's the annual Christmas Party and it's being held on Thursday December 17 in the North Cafe from 4 to 8 p.m. There are a limited number of tickets, so just to be sure you get in you can buy one in advance from the Reception desk, Lynn Kroetlinger in NF, the cashier (3rd floor Tower), the Registrar's office and Business Management in NB. Tickets this year are $5 (blasted inflation) and there will be refreshments, music and door prizes. A highly recommend- ed party but if you're intending to really enjoy it don't drive home. Music Concert-Handel to Zulu Friday, December 11 at 7:30 p.m. our Music students will be showing off their skills in the South Cafe-Theatre. The choir will be singing selections ranging from Gordon Lightfoot to Traditional Zulu and Xhosa songs led by African student Themba Tana. Also on the agenda, the Stone Baroque Strings da Capilano and the Three Flute- cakes will be performing several pieces ranging in age from Handel's work written in the 16th - 17th century to recent work by Hovhaness. Students, staff and faculty who are concerned about the government's education policy and the possibility of severe cutbacks next year are invited to attend. Faculty workshop in January An Instructional Skills Workshop will be given to any interested faculty members January 4 to 8, from 9:00 to 3:30 in the Dynamics Lab (fancy name for the T.V. Stu- dio).
