Keith was formerly employed as director of Development with Red Deer College where he was responsible for the organization and implementation of Keith director for Capilano College. University’s correspondence program. He is a certified fund raising executive who majored in marketing at Edmonton’s University of Alberta. By supporting the First Annual Capilano College Employees’ Lottery, those dreams could soon become a reality. Funds raised from the draw will help support the instructional equipment needs of the new College theatre. A committee, which included Joe Iacobellis, Dianna Larsen, Janet MacDonald, Judi Fletcher, Karin Vickars, Diane Blaney and Patrick Olenick, got together in October to discuss ways to support employees’ and College programs this Christmas season. First prize is a trip for two to Hawaii (donated by B.C. Gas and Whisky Jack Resorts). Second prize is a weekend at Whistler. Third prize is dinner for two at Delilah’s Restaurant (anonymous donation). Moncy raised will be eligible for matching funds from the provincial government. There is a potential of raising almost $30,000. Only 600 tickets will be printed! An insert will be included with the mid-November pay advices. On the back of the notice is a payroll deduction authorization, making it easy to purchase your tickets. Since the payroll advices for faculty and administrators were missed, flyers with identical information will be sent out to those individuals. Fill out and its fund raising program since 1985. “After nine years in development at the same institution, I am looking forward to new challenges at a larger organization,” Keith said. “I am also excited about moving to British Columbia and being surrounded by greenery.” Along with his development duties, Keith is also in the process of obtaining an MBA through the California Coast Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Keith moved to Red Deer, Alberta in 1978. His wife, Debbie, is a dietary technician who will be staying in Alberta with their five- year-old dachshund, Theo, until she is able to sell their house. As one of Keith’s interests is skiing, he is sure to enjoy working at Capilano College. The closest ski hill (Grouse Mountain) is only a 15-minute drive from his new office.
