“Although we are situated in an
urban setting, you would never know
it when you’re here,” MacDonald
says. “The natural environment
surrounding the facility makes it easy
to forget about the city.”

Funding for the $1.1 million dollar
facility was provided by the former
B.C. Ministry of Skills, Training and
Labour, now called the Ministry of
Education, Skills and Training. It was
processed through the B.C. Ministry
of Women’s Equality, now called the
Ministry of Family and Children.
