their way to the Canadian Colleges Athletics Association

Championships in Nova Scotia.

Congratulations to the Women’s
Basketball team who placed fourth in
Canada in the Canadian Colleges’
Athletic Association Championships.
John Abbott College from Montreal

placed first, Lethbridge Community
College, Alberta, second, and Ahunsic
College, Quebec was third. The Cap
team moved up from fifth place last
year.

Speaking of Sun...

Time is running out to get your
name in the barrel for a one-in-2000
chance in the athletics department's
draw for the grand prize of two
weeks in Hawaii, all expenses paid.
The not-too-shabby second prize is

the FACTS

This year’s Computer Systems
Management class is previewing its
sophisticated new program FACTS —

a Financial Analysis and Cashflow
Tracking System — to the computer
industry on April 15 at Capilano
College in room A117, 9 a.m to noon.

This minicomputer-based
financial planning tool allows
business managers to organize and
track the progress of capital projects
and budgets over a 20 year period.

FACTS connects directly with
microcomputers, allowing senior
Managers to make on-the-spot
projections, changes, and develop
alternate scenarios.

This powerful system was
developed in less than four months by
the 1988 graduates who used the
advanced vrogramming, analysis,
and design techniques they learned in
their program to create FACTS.

The graduates of the rigiorous 10-
month accelerated program attribute
the quality of the FACTS system to
the fact that most of the 30 students
are older than the average undergrad
— a minimum of seven years of
business experience is a prerequisite
of the program. As a result, FACTS
addresses the practical problems
facing businesses.
