Luckily it was a warm, sunlit afternoon. “Since the creation of the College in 1968 we have steadily built our reputation,” Farley said, adding that the Sportsplex will serve not only students, but the entire community. To hearty applause, Farley and Collier pulled down a blue curtain and uncovered the plaque. Next on the agenda was the grand opening cere- mony. Theatre instructor Bill Murdoch served as mas- ter of ceremonies, while about 300 people watched the proceedings.
