They will be here Thursday (naturally---it had to be) December 6 in the Cafe Theatre from 7:30 to 9:30 to hold an open meeting with speakers and film. Using alcohol and drugs is not a prerequisite to attendance. . Ca ‘ | A date for appreciators of music to mark on their calendars is Friday the 14th. On that day at 8:00 pm the Cap College Chorus will appear in the Cafe Theatre under the direction of Karl Kobylansky and do all sorts of things that they won't even be charging admission for. I could tell you what they are going to do, but then you couldn't make double entendres out of my words, or read in scurrilous speculations and, anyway, I have to have something to write about next week. NEWS * NEWS —m Double Reverse, the Odyssey Journey and Straight Line have a couple of things in common. They're all ad campaigns (the Ist two for the B.C. Lions and the Hyatt Ody- ssey) and they're all on the agenda for the Third Annual Cap-Ads competition. Now, if you happen to have had your/head buried in the sand (memos?) or beer missing for the last two years, you will not know that Cap-Ads is a competition between students in designing ad campaigns and it is judged by a distinguished panel of experts from the Vancouver Advertising Agency scene. It is taking place this year in the Lounge at 1:00, Friday December 7. Now you know. ce @Cea New and Interesting Courses Department -- this week we feature Anthropology. Anth 123, Introduction to Archaeology and the Prehistoric Past is new and its basically just what the title says. Students will be able to visit archaeological collections and will do group lab sessions. Anth 204, on the other hand, is not new, but it is interesting. This is Ethnic Relations, a study of ethnic groups with a focus on B.C. Students will do primary research as well as hit the books. If you are intrigu- ed by these courses, get your fee waiver form and sign up, or phone local 245 and get more information. Then sign up.
