Frank Gelin (Academic Dean) will be chairing the External Team for Camosun College’s University Transfer Program evaluation in October. 20 year-old former Arts student Manuel Sobral is a welter weight boxer on Canada’s Olympic team. Although he was defeated in his first match by Finland’s ’84 Olympic bronze medallist, the commentator called him a “coach’s dream”, and mentioned that he had attended Capilano College. Manuel won the Canadian National Championships in ’88. Congratulations to Bawn Campbell (Business Management) and wife, Annie, on the birth of their nine-pound daughter Friday, September 16.
