“Hands Off" & "Street Smart" Seminars
for all Faculty, Staff and Students at Capilano College

The Skills Now Safer Campuses Initiative: Twenty-three post-secondary institutions in British
Columbia are developing and implementing plans to ensure that their environments are psycho-
logically and physical safe for all women and men who are members of marginalized groups.

Focus areas:

* violence prevention for all people, concentrating on those most at risk;

* prevention and awareness of date and acquaintance rape;

* recognition and prevention of discrimination, harassment and sexual harassment;
* physical safety measures on campuses

The Hands Off Seminar takes one three-hour session. (For women only.)
