IN November 9, 1981 Volume Ill No. 34 College ignores Blood Donor Clinic - Red Cross disappointed AGAIN The goal of this year's Blood Donor Clinic was to squeeze 188 units of blood from the over 3,000 people on campus. Not ambitious you might think, but it turns out that it was. Only 98 units of blood were collected last Monday, which is probably our worst record to date (although last year was pretty awful too). Pathetic is the nicest word we can think of to describe the turn- out. Donating blood is a matter of choice, but it's worth thinking about how you'll feel if you are in the hospital some day and there isn't any blood for you. If you missed ‘the clinic, go donate over town. Do you hate making breakfast in the morn- ing? Then don't. The North Cafeteria wil] make it for you instead, and they'll! do it just about as cheaply as you could do it at home (particularly if you live on your own). For $2.25 you.get the following: 2 eggs, ham, hash browns, toast, juice and tea/coffee. Obviously this is subsidized-- in fact if enough people don't take advan- tage of it soon, the breakfast will go. So try it. Horst, our chef recommends it. It will set you up for the day.
