Volleyball championships coming to College Capilano College will play host to the 2007 Canadian Colleges’ Athletic Association Women’s National Volleyball Championship in March. The event is part of a 2010 Legacies Now initiative to broaden sport experiences in British Columbia. “2010 Legacies Now is committed to building B.C’s reputation as a premier sport event destination and maximizing sport hosting opportunities leading up to and beyond 2010,” said Bruce Dewar, chief executive officer, 2010 Legacies Now. “The Hosting BC program assists communities in creating sport hosting legacies across British Columbia.” According to organizers, the event will draw close to 120 athletes plus coaches from seven provinces from March 7-10.
