Fun and Fresh Air for the Whole Family he Capilano College men’s and women’s soccer teams would like to invite everyone and their guests to an afternoon of fun and competition Sunday, October 22, lower soccer field. Beginning at noon, the women’s team, ranked second in Canada and featuring five athletes selected to play in the Western Canada Games this summer, will kick off against Okanagan University College. The men’s team, featuring two players with international experience, will also battle Okanagan starting at 2 p.m. Come out and support the teams. This will be great family entertainment and an opportunity to see some quality collegiate soccer. Refreshments will be served in the multipurpose room after each game. Funded in part by a grant from the National Library of Canada, donations from the Lions Gate Rotary Club and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, as well as from personal donations, this work station will crack the world of books wide open for the visually impaired. A book is placed in a scanner and the software reproduces its print in large text on screen. It will also read the book out loud or print its text on a Braille printer. 1 @nformer
