Cathy Storey (Financial Services) writes: To all my friends at Capilano College, I want to thank everyone who contributed to the wonderful shower. Your generous gifts will come in very handy. My many friends at the college will be missed, but never forgotten. Montreal is only a plane ride away. Thank you all again. Love, Cathy News from Outside: Doug Loblaw, on leave from the Business Management Department, writes from his desk at Equity Preservation Corporation: Since I began my leave last S June I have been very busy learning about the wonderful world of corporate finance and developing new expertise in marketing limited partnerships, mutual funds, and public companies that trade on the Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver stock exchanges. In 1988 we attended an international conference in San Francisco where we presented an interactive audio/ visual show to the delegates. Presently, ’m preparing four annual reports and developing several promotional brochures for Canadian junior resource companies. We are also beginning to market a new project in London, England, called The Scholar Centre. This will be a foreign student residence funded through Canadian, American, and British interests. It’s been an interesting year so far, and though I’m busy for some time yet, all signs point to my return to Capilano in September. It seems no matter where I go in Vancouver, there are Capilano Business Management graduates everywhere — that’s a very rewarding and encouraging discovery, and I’m proud to be part of it. — Doug Loblaw Keith Wade Named President of VanDusen Gardens Assoc.
