IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED or are just back from four months vacation, there are these

little yellow items called tip sheets that we like to receive down here. Pretty please?

The great Information Day on Bowen Island
has come and gone--successfully. Last Fri-
day Dr. Jardine, Frank Gelin, Wanda Tilley
and Conchita Furstenwald, along with one
observing member of the College Board, met
with about 30 Island restdents. They gave
short talks and wined and cheesed the na-
tives for two rather pleasant hours.

Meanwhile, Community Education courses are

open for registration until the end of
next week, or in the first class of each
course. Don't miss your chance to study

calligraphy or trace your family tree.

STILL MORE

Registration is still open for Hawaiian
backpacking adventures on Maui and Kauai
this October. Inquiries about two weeks of
outdoor bliss may go to Community Ed.

Business Management faculty, look out! In
case you thought you were going to find
tranquility up in the wilds of NB you are
warned that there are 42 guitarists this
term in the Music Department. Not to men-
tion six drummers. The music staff sends
their sympathy. (snicker)

The Bookstore, reports Sheila Fletcher, is
just the "ordinary madhouse.'' The massive

Don't forget the coming VSO concert at the
Centennial Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 8 at
8 p.m. Sponsored by Cap. and District 44,
the pops concert will cost $1.50 and tick-
ets are going fast. You can get them at
Community Ed. or at the theatre, but there
shouldn't be many left to sell at the
door. Bring the family.

EXCITEMENT

In the alls-well-that-ends-well department
we have the Community Education registra-
tion days at Park Royal. In spite of last
minute troubles with Park Royal and power
fluctuations that kept the computer break-
ing down, the entire event went off well.
Joy Smith, Kerry Holloway, and other brave
staffers pulled in 180 registrations and
answered numerous questions. And they're
even thinktng of doing it again!

it-again department, it is rumoured we can
find Bill Little. After being tempermental
and breaking down at awkward times, his
Mazda station wagon finally died for good.
The motor had to be replaced after 27,000
miles. If yoy like him, don't bring [ft up.
