Closer to Home: The Report of the British Colum-
bia Royal Commission on Health Care and Costs

This report is divided into three volumes. Volume one is
a summary that provides an overview of the royal
commission’s report. The second volume, the main part
of Closer to Home, describes the specific reeommenda-
tions of how our health system should be restructured.
The third volume contains the bibliography and a list of
the presentations made to the commission.

In preparation for this biography, the author inter-
viewed many of Rauschenberg’s friends and colleagues
as well as the artist himself. Published with over 200
illustrations, the result is a richly illustrated portrait of
the American artist’s life.
