Their placement have scored a tremendous coup in on the women’s and men’s All Cana- achieving positions on the Canadian dian teams gives Capilano a weighty Colleges’ All Canadian soccer teams. The students, Silvana Burtini, Nico Berg and Tony Mobilio, secured the representation among the elite of college athletes. The College hopes this will encourage more people to use public transit and ease some of the parking pressure on campus. Parking pressure has already de- creased with the addition of 85 new parking spaces east of the Sportsplex. throughout Canada had vied for a total of 22 spots on the All Canadian teams. Nico and Tony received awards and their invitations to join the All Cana- dian Men’s Soccer Team at a banquet in Kamloops last month. The banquet followed the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association Men’s soccer championships at Cariboo College Nov. 11-15. Nico and Tony are second year students at Cap. Tony was the top scorer for the Blues this year. Nico, also a member of the Junior National Team, was a star midfielder in the B.C. Colleges Athletic Association league. During the same week, Silvana Burtini, a member of the Capilano College women’s soccer team, was named to the Canadian Colleges All Canadian Women’s team. Silvana was the league’s top scorer this season and is considered a strong prospect to make the Canadian national team.
