It’s about time the Informer once again sponsored a Guess Whose Baby Picture contest, and we need participants. We already have one photo of a faculty member, so we are particulary looking for staffers and administrators who are willing to be publicly embarassed. (Or unwilling— anyone got spouses or family members on campus?) Your photo will be returned to you unharmed, have no fear. Join the illustrious ranks of those who have been pointed and giggled at for the entertainment of the college community, such as Patty Groves, Bill Little, Bill McPhee.... hmmm, they've all left Capilano since. Well, make that Doug Loblaw, Joy Smith, Bill Gibson, Linda Givens, and many more! The effects are not lasting. Please note: find a photo where you are old enough (i.e. over 3) to give people a reasonable chance of recognizing you, in spite of the balding pate, missing teeth, surgical scars etc. Send in your photo today (in deep secrecy) to Public Relations, A118. (No nudes, please.) Up on the Carpets Most have you will have noticed that the ragged yellow carpets in B building have been put out of their misery and replaced with new grey carpeting. What you may not know is that over the next few weeks about 2500 square yards of carpet in North portable classrooms (those exposed to the sun) will be replaced. Watch your step. This latter contains the compete text of virtually every article that has appeared in the Globe and Mail since November 14, 1977 and is considered an authoritative source for Canadian current affairs information. Any students interested in having the librarians do a search on these publications for any assignment related topics are asked to talk to a Reference Librarian. They'll be happy to help, “the Electronic Way.” Tourism conference “Tourism - A Vital Force for Peace” is the title of a major conference coming to Vancouver in October of 1988.
