Wanted: Speeches

A new periodical is looking for material
for publication. Canadian Speeches will be
published ten times annually and each
issue will contain "32 pages of the most
vital speeches delivered in Canada."
According to publisher, Earle Gray, they
are looking for "speeches that reflect
informed views on matters of wide

College history published

Frank Beinder, former Executive Director
of the B.C. Association of Colleges, has
just completed a book entitled "College
Development in British Coiumbia:
Recollections of a Layman." The work, which
deals with the early development and growth
of community colleges in B.C., is available

Earthshaking course upcoming

Here's a course that's a little different.
The University cf Victoria is holding a
one day conference for the general public
on “Earthquake Preparedness in the Home,
School and Community." They will cover
everything from Psychologicai Self-
Protection to Insurance Coverage on Sat.

valiantly to be a weekly publication,
at least during the Fall and Spring
terms. This newsletter is published by
Information Services, A118, local 2002,
and submissions are greeted with joy
and delight. Photos are generally taken
by Edna Sakata in MPC and prepared for
publication by Dave Sharrock. Printing
is done by Linda Givens and Dave Callow
in the Print Shop, and distribution is
handled by the Mail Room/Typing Pool.
Most everything else can be blamed on
Donna McMahon, but she'll deny it.
