Anyone interested in joining the Cap team should call race director Don Basham at 2205. First year Outdoor Rec students are organizing the event, and second year students and faculty have organized a team. In an earlier ambulatory event, Outdoor Rec students worked with the Greater Vancouver Regional District in organizing the annual Coho Walk. Over 3,500 walkers trekked from the Cleveland Dam to Ambleside Beach in the ninth annual event, raising money for the Association’s salmon enhancement project. A two-day trail construction workshop at the Lynn Headwaters Regional Park last week found our Outdoor Reccers working hard. The Workshop is a saws- and hands-on experience for the students, who assist the GVRD cutting trails through the Pacific forest.
