A group of 12 senior administrators from Chinese
management institutes visited Cap March 9 as part
of a tour of B.C. colleges. Their objective was to
gain a better understanding of B.C.'s post-
secondary system; they were particularly interested
in Our program development, but were also
researching organizational structure, relationships
with the private sector, recruitment of staff, and
academic organization. This was the first visit from
China since Tiananmen Square.

A child was talking about his neighbour who was always fussing ~
over her new puppy. The teacher explained that this was a special
pedigree puppy which needed extra care because when it gets

bigger the neighbour will want to show it. "Show it?" said the boy ; -
indignantly. "What do they want to show it?"

Recently a family was discussing sexual preferences. The father
asked his daughter, "Do you know what a lesbian is?" The
daughter replied. "Yes. They are two women who get married.”
The father, very impressed, turned to the mother and said. "There,
you see. Sex education is working."

"Oh no. I didn't learn it from mom,” said the child. "I saw it on the
