the Volume V, No. 17 May 9, 1983 Headliner on vacation informer WHERE IS INFORMATION SERVICES? Actually, this is a question which has been of major interest to us in the last while. You see, the Premier St. office closed at the end of April, but our new location (in the old Student Union office on the main floor of the Tower) is not yet ready to be occupied. What to do with us in the meantime? Ignoring our generous offer of taking a month's paid vacation, the college tried shuffling us ‘here and there. Perhaps on the main floor at a table in the Registrar's office? No. Well, what about the Retail Fashion lab? That didn't work out either (they were probably afraid that our elegant attire would over- awe potential students). Finally a "holding tank'' was found—the Life Drawing room on the third floor (A301), and we must admit that it's a nice room with a positively delightful office. So that's where we are for the next few weeks (with many thanks to Ted Kingan and the other instructors for allowing themselves to be evicted temporarily). Our local for now: 384. REGISTER NOW FOR SOCCER CLINIC The Capilano College Summer Soccer Development Clinic is coming up again, and says Joe lacobellis, if you have an interested kid in the family, they should join up right away to make sure they get in. SCIENCE STUDENTS HOSTED Approximately 65 students from Hillside, Windsor, Seycove, Sentinel, Elphinstone, West Van., Howe Sound, Sutherland, Argyle, Handsworth, and Pemberton high schools were here at the college on May 5 to take part in the third annual Science Enrichment Workshop. These students, the top in their schools, were given the chance to take part in two advanced workshops in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Math with our top instructors and lab supervisors. Counsellors from the high schools who came along seemed to be much impressed and in many cases got as wrapped up as the students in the labs that were underway. This event has become very popular in a short period of time—this year there were requests for three times as many students as the College could handle.
