Come and celebrate the College’s 30th birthday veryone is invited to attend the College’s 30th birthday celebration on Friday, October 23 at 2 p.m. in the Capilano College Performing Arts Theatre. This will be a lighthearted fun event where employees will be recognized for longtime service and where we can pass along our best wishes to some faculty members retiring this year. As pop artist Andy Warhol said: “Everyone has their 15 minutes of fame.” Filled with lots of surprises, this just could be your day! There will be a photo display set up outside the theatre. Please bring any historical photos you might have of your (or other people’s) experiences at the College and pin them up that morning on one of the display boards. Recognition gifts will be presented, so your presence is important. The hour-long program will include: * entertainment provided by a covert troupe of faculty and administrators * recognition of retirees and of employees with 15 to 24 years of service and 25 to 30 years at the College * a special repeat performance by Bill Schermbrucker, who will give his poignant speech made at the spring 98 graduation ceremony ¢ plus a few surprises. .
