Cogswell displayed in Germany On February 20 an exhibition featuring contemporary art by Canadian artists opened at the Wurttembergische Kunstverein in Stuttgart and one of the artists on display there was Barry Cogswell. The 15 artists exhibited had been chosen by the curator of the Public Art Gallery in Stuttgart in his travels across Canada and Barry was one of the exhibitors, most of whom worked with installation works and photo documentation, who were chosen. He spent four weeks in Germany building the installation, but, admits Barry, he still doesn't speak any German. Congratulations. But the real Register Now! Here is a reminder from Hilary Clark that it is time for interested academic, career, vocational, or community education instructors to enroll in the next Instructional Skills Workshop. The workshop consists of a series of mini- lessons (ten minutes in length) taught to other members of the workshop, video-taped and discussed. A handbook and many pages of practical information are given out, and all visual aid equipment is demonstrated and practiced on during the session. Hilary describes the atmosphere of the workshops as ''constructive, friendly, and often hilarious!’ and again emphasizes that all instructional disciplines can be handled. To register call Lee Knight at local 392 and remember that registration is on a first come first served basis and is limited to seven. The course will be held in the Dynamics Lab from May 2 to 7, 9:00 am to 3:30. How to look 20 years Older Lung cancer and heart disease don't seem to worry the North American populace much, but threaten them with wrinkles...! ''A Study in the Epidemiology of Crow's Feet! published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, has found a'Striking!! association between cigarette smoking and wrinkling in both men and women over 30. "Wrinkling of the skin,'' the Surgeon General of the U.S. says, ''is more common and occurs at an earlier age in smokers shocker for smokers is that in the 40 to 49 year group they are likely to be as prominently wrinkled as nonsmokers who are 20 years older. Nor is this phenomenon linked with sunbathers and other outdoorsy types-- there is a larger percentage of heavily wrinkled individuals among the least exposed smokers of each age-sex group than among the most exposed. The moral: if thoughts of various sorts of horrible death aren't enough to deter you from smoking, how about the purely cosmetic angle? Or, in the words of the BC Lung Association, ''Smoking will make you a pruneface.'!
