the Volume |X No. 20 November 23, 1987 informer Instructors’ work exhibited at Cap An exhibition of work by printmaking instructors from colleges and universities in the lower mainland will be held at Cap from November 26 to 28. Instructors from the Emily Carr College of Art and Design, UBC (Fine Arts and Education faculties), Kwantlen College, and Capilano will have work on display. The show will exhibit a wide range of materials and processes available to the print artist, including examples of monoprints, work on metal, fabric, and handmade paper, and the more traditional methods of silkscreen, stone and plate lithography, and intaglio work. The exhibit opens on Wednesday evening, November 25, and continues on November 26, 27 and 28 in the All College Lounge. Hours are 10 am to 4 pm each day. “Studio Night” starts Thursday The Theatre students are presenting six performances of “Studio Night”, an evening with excerpts from two plays—Les Belles Soeurs by Michel Tremblay and Shakespeare’s The Tempest. Concert coming December 2nd The Bachelor of Music Transfer program is presenting a special concert on Wednesday, December 2 with the Capilano College Choir, the Chamber Singers, and assorted faculty guest artists. A wide selection of classical and jazz works will be featured, and faculty members appearing include: Jan. L. Whiting, piano; Stephen Boswell, guitar; Tony Nickels, oboe and saxophone; Al Wold, piano; and Ken Moore, drums. Tickets are $5 adults or $3 seniors and students and are available in advance from the Music Department or at the Door. The concert will be held at St. Andrews United Church, St. Georges and 10th St. in North Vancouver at 8 pm. Piano arrives Kneeling on the left, Robert McKee helps to move the new grand piano into the Music department while a crowd of Music faculty and students look on. The piano was used for its first public appearance last Friday at a noon concert with Richard Epp, pianist and vocalists Bill Kelly and Lynne Sterling.
