April 6, 1983 Volume V No. 13 LTC students graduate No, Aisa Nillas isn't having trouble walking, she is being practised on by one of the Mt. Currie Long Term Care/Homemaker students. Aisa and the rest of the students in the background are, as of this Thursday, graduates of the Long Term Care Upgrading program for people already employed in the field. These enterprising and hardworking students took two days each week off their jobs--one for in class study and one for practical work. The students, 17 women and one rather lonesome man, are employed at Beacon Hill Lodge, North Shore Private Hospital, United Lodge and Altamont Lodge. By the way, if you are snickering over the idea of a man going CONTINUED Dedication of H bldg. April 12th is THE DAY--the official opening of H building. Education Minister Bill Vander Zalm will be here to officiate at the dedication ceremony at 1:30 pm outside the main lobby area, level 2 of the Multi Purpose Building (or, if the skies do not permit, inside the main lobby area). Everyone is cordially invited to attend. Incidentally, the art work on display in the entrance area, second level and on the top floor witl be by students in the Crafts Program.
