Pat Dejong, area manager for BMO Bank of Montreal, has been elected vice-chair. The Capilano College Athletics department dominated the winner's circle for the 2004-05 season after collecting 11 National Scholar Awards from the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association — more than any other college in B.C.! The National Scholar Award is designed to recognize the outstand- ing academic accomplishments of CCAA student-athletes. To achieve this honour, a student-athlete must achieve a 3.5 GPA standing in their current academic year. From the 100 member institutions in the CCAA, 478 students were awarded the prestigious honour in their pursuit of academic and athletic excellence.
