he recent award of the 2010 Winter Games to Vancouver will create
many opportunities for West Vancouver, the Greater Vancouver region,
British Columbia and Canada.

As a venue community. Council has established the West Vancouver 2010
Olympic/Paralympic Committee to build a community vision and plan to
ensure that West Vancouver participates in hosting the most exciting and
environmentally conscious Winter Games ever held, while maximizing
the benefits to our community.
Council is seeking members to serve on the Committee from the
following areas:
• Business Leaders
• Arts & Culture
• Seniors, Youth
• Community-at-Large

• Sport Organizations/Athletes
• People with Disabilities
•Education
• Environment/Sustainability
