cheques and pledge cards are welcomed
before the 25th of November. If you are

unable to find your pledge card, just give
me a call at local 2138. Added incentives
to the "Pledge Card Draw" have been made
by Donna McLaren (pottery), a secret gift
from Ken Hughes, Christmas concert tickets,
Lynne Hamilton, flower arrangement by Jana
Bailey, etc. Acknowledgements must go to
Joyce Fancher and the Art Dept. for their
intention to raffle off 25 pumpkins as a
fundraising effort, and a great round of
applause to all who donated time, energy,
and creative ideas toward the 1986
Campaign.

We launched the campaign with dancing and
song

Then somehow, somewhere, something went
wrong

The past two weeks have taken their toll
We're way behind in United Way's goal

Remembrance Day was to end this event
But it seems that the deadline just came
and just went

The status quo, I'll have to admit
shows only a few who have done their bit

And now it's time for me to make mention
that we've been granted a GIFT OF EXTENSION

November 25 is our final date
and when it has passed, we'll all be too
late

that an organization is somxwhat 1ikx
my typxwritxr: not all thx pxoplx arx
working propxrly. You may say to
yoursxlf, "I am only onx pxrson; I
don't makx or brxak a program." But it
doxs makx a diffxrxncx bxcausx an
association to bx xffxctivx nxxds thx
participation of xvxry pxrson rxlatxd
to it. So thx nxxt timx you think you
arx only onx pxrson and that your
xfforts arx not nxxdxd, rxmxmbxr and
say to yoursxlf, "I'm a kxy pxrson in
our organization and am vxry much
nxxdxd."

Your instructions will remain confidential, and so will
the amount of your gift ... and you have our assurance
that United Way does not sell, loan, or give away

its mailing lists.

Because many ask for it, we provide a “giving guide”
for employed people based on donating one day's
pay a year. This figure is arrived at by dividing total
earnings by 256 working days.

The following tax deduction table for charitable

deductions as indicated, governments reduce your
total taxes payable.
