He also received an award from the Rotary Club of North Vancouver. “The Accelerated Program, where you put 24 months of effort into 12, is an avalanche of work,” says Nausher. “The reason I did well is because I work hard, focus and prioritize my time. It’s an extremely difficult course, but anyone who shows a certain amount of commitment and wants to do well will excel.” Married for eight years, Nausher and Nausher Banaji, pictured here receiving an award from Rotary Club president, Bob McKilligan, is looking for employment opportunities in marketing or with an advertising firm. There is also the possibility of a teaching career, as he already has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm) from the University of Bombay. his wife moved to Vancouver two years ago from India. He regards the faculty at Capilano College as tops in their field. “Not only is Capilano College a beautiful environment in which to study,” Nausher says, “but I thought the faculty were extremely knowledgeable. Many are also working in the business world, so they are able to offer students objective information; information that relates to the real world. It’s not simply theory. “Often people say that a course is 90 per cent inspiration and 10 per cent perspiration,” he continues. “The 12-month Accelerated Marketing program at Capilano College is, in my opinion, 100 per cent perspiration.” But it produces winners, such as Nausher, whose commitment to excellence and learning should guide him well into the 21st century.
