The Physics Department key (labelled ''Physics'' for some strange reason) is missing and they would like it back. New Waugh arrives Gerrie Waugh's son was early. Not due i:to arrive until November 3, he turned up two days ahead of time—at 11:30 am Nov. Ist. David Nicholas Waugh (newest member of the Office Administration Division) weighed 10 lbs, 4 oz. Pottery show Sat/Sun A wide range of pottery wares from the functional to more sculptural work using clays including earthenware, stoneware and porcelain will be on sale this weekend (November 5 and 6) at the Sheraton Landmark Hotel, 1400 Robson St. The sale is of particular interest to Cap because it will include the work of our talented instructor Donna McLaren and two former students—Barbara Barron and Ron Tribe. This is one of the first opportunities for some of B.C.'s better known potters to get together and sell their work all in one centre, much on the model of sales that have been successful at the Empress Hotel in the past. Admission is free—go and browse or buy. Hours are: 11 am to 10 pm Saturday and 11 am to 6 pm Sunday. Reading on Thursday There will be a reading on Thursday the 3rd at 8:00 pm with Clark Blaise, whose latest novel ''Lusts'' has just appeared. Readings are free and Thursday readings are held in H402 (the Faculty/Staff Lounge). RED CROSS - Needs no introduction. CRISIS CENTRE - These people man telephone hotlines to deal with people in crisis. E.l.F.E. RESOURCE-CENTRE - Support .is available through this organization for people recently widowed, separated or divorced, with both individual counselling and self-help groups. JOHN HOWARD SOCIETY OF B.C. - This group deals with crime from all angles--from counselling and support programs for inmates, and for victims of crime, to the offering of student education programs to promote crime prevention.
