The irrepressible Yehia is kicking off his new policy of headline entertainment with Baldry. This British singer, guitarist, and songwriter, who makes his home in Kitsilano, first came to my attention back in the late '50s when he was on tour with Brooklyn-born folk singer Ramblin' Jack Elliott. Baldry made the transition from folk to the blues rock field in the 1960s, when he was instrumental in the organization of Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated, a group that included Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts.
