By p r o v i n c i a l s t a t u t e t h e C o l l e g e s cannot o f f e r courses beyond the 2nd year u n i v e r s i t y l e v e l . Eight s t u d e n t s had s u c c e s s f u l l y completed four terms o f work w i t h the r e q u i r e d grade p o i n t average t o g r a d u a t e . Of these s i x were on t h e academic t r a n s f e r (to u n i v e r s i t y ) program w h i l e two o t h e r s were g r a d u a t i n g from the E a r l y ChlldhoodX E d u c a t i o n programi: which Is one o f t h e main program areas In the o t h e r marfor course area o f t h e c o l l e g e the Career Programs. These graduates a l l r e c e i v e an A s s o c i a t e in A r t s and Science Diploma foom Capilano C o l l e g e . As a recent newcomer t o t h i s r a t h e r d i f f e r e n t scene In t h e higher e d u c a t i o n f i e l d , a f e e l t h a t t h e g r a d u a t i o n and t o some k x t e n t the summer term b i t , are o f c o n s i d e r a b l e I n t e r e s t In t h e development o f the two year community c o l l e g e s In t h e p r o v i n c e . Taking the newer c o l l e g e s , e x c l u d i n g Vancouver C i t y College and S e l k i r k , both these xevents are ml l e s t o n e s In t h a t development. We are a l l very busy here as you can imagine and though I am t r y i n g t o c o o r d i n a t e I n f o r m a t i o n and p . r . f o r the time b e i n g , I am a f r a i d I am not d e v o t i n g enough time t o I t and t h a t t h e e f f o r t might appear r a t h e r amateurish. But n e v e r t h e l e s s the e f f o r t Is genuine, and t o us Is very I m p o r t a n t . I would s i n c e r e l y ho pe t h e t you aan make some ; k i n d o f a s t o r y , no m a t t e r how s h o r t , out o f t h i s f o r the Province.
