November 15/96 Musical For Your Very Soul — and Spirit ancouver composer and faculty member of the Capilano College Music Department, Mark Armanini, has a new recording available called The Spirit Emerges. The release features a unique international blend of the performance styles of Seattle conductor John Zoltek, who leads the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic from Zlin, Czech Republic. The Spirit Emerges offers four diverse works for chamber orchestra, each with soloist. It retails for $16 and is available from the Music Department in Fir building, room 101. Headhunter— People in Odd Jobs B e part of a live studio audience and, at the same time, learn more than you may want to know about embalming, hypnotherapy, the Wipple machine, special effects artists, and what it’s like to jump 200 feet into a raging forest fire. Headhunter is a six-part television series which explores people doing odd jobs. Produced by the first and second year Media Resources students, broadcasts will appear either on the Knowledge Network or on Rogers Cable. As part of the audience, you will hear first-hand stories from an array of interesting guests. Live taping will take place on Monday, November 18 and 25 and December 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the TV Studio.
