Cap Blues and Coach take the Nationals!

The Capilano Blues and their coach, Joe
Iacobellis, took Granby, Quebec by storm this week
at the Canadian National Soccer Championships.
Joe was named Coach of the Year 1991 by the Ca-
nadian College Athletic Association, and the Capi-
lano Blues cruised to their second national title in
a row winning all four games over the weekend.

Earlier this year Joe was named B.C. Coach of
the year by the British Columbia arm of the Col-
lege Coaching Association. The accolades come as
no surprise to many in the College. President Doug
Jardine says: “It is well deserved, and even though
I was not called on to cast any ballot, I would have
had no difficulty in reaching the same conclusion.”

to 18 countries: China, Greece, Israel, the canals of
France, Spain, Mexico, Turkey. Fascinating spots,
great painting locations.

In May, 1991 their 10th tour will take them to Java
and Bali, stopping in Hong Kong, where they will find
enchanting fishing villages, mists rising amongst
ancient temples, models in Balineese dress, the sunrise
over mystical Mount Batok, a painters (or anyone’s)
paradise.

Both artists and non-artists have found touring
with a group of artists enhances immensely the way
